Description

I am absolutely rubbish at photography, so I'm not even going to pretend this has any artistic merit at all (it doesn't!!), it's just a snapshot I took of my daughter, Lucy, about 15 minutes ago... she was in a smiley mood, so I had to take advantage of it (although this was the only one I got with smiles - as soon as you produce a camera, she goes all serious again!)

Lucy is now 11 weeks old and is alternatively a lovely, bouncy, happy baby and a right little madam when she wants to be....

I'll scrap this later, but since I have no real time for art or writing right now, I thought I'd post a picture of the reason for my lack of activity!!

Wow, she has grown! And awww, she looks like she has about as much (or as little) hair as Talia did when she was a baby...I swear it took her forever to get some hair grown and now she's has this crazy curly mop of untamable hair.

Her little gummy grin is precious...and I do see a bit of mischievousness there as well m'dear, hehe. The look in her eyes and the slightly tilted smile...she looks like she's up to something. :XD: Love it.

And personally, I found the best way to get them to stop fixating on the camera and smile big is to get your camera ready (but don't let them see the camera) and grab a squeaky toy, or rattle, (or a cherished lovey) and real quick pull out the camera, hold the toy over your head/camera and wiggle it around or make it squeak or talk in a high pitched voice or something to grab her attention...and snap away as fast as ya can. Ya gotta be quick though, or they will bore of it or figure out what yer up to and then all you get is "the stare."
Of course if you've got one of those damnable digital cameras with a delay where...you push the button and it takes the camera like 2 seconds before it snaps the picture, then you've got your work cut out for you...my camera is like that...I HATE that it does that, but I've found that most digital cameras do it so...*sigh*

Anyway...rambling...nice to see such a happy and healthy baby, and it sounds like you are adjusting quite well too. Almost 3 months of this and you're already a pro! :worship:
